Vivo announced its new phoneVivo Y500 ProIn China, which is an indirect upgrade over the previous generation Y400 Pro, combining some striking improvements with some limited compromises. The phone has become a little faster thanks to the MediaTek processor Dimensity 7400 Which features a 100 MHz higher frequency than the previous generation Dimensity 7300 processor. Vivo also added a 12 GB RAM option in addition to the standard 8 GB version, while the company abandoned UFS 3.1 storage in favor of the slightly slower UFS 2.2.

The phone has a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, protected by Diamond Shield glass. Although the screen is slightly smaller than the previous generation (6.77 inches), the phone has become heavier. In terms of endurance, the phone has received important upgrades: it now supports the IP68 and IP69 standards for water and dust resistance, and features a drop-resistant structure, and has also received a certificate for durability and endurance.

As for the battery, it now has a capacity of 7000 mAh, 22% larger than the previous generation, while maintaining the same 90W fast charging capacity. The rear camera also witnessed a major upgrade, as it became a single 200-megapixel lens with a larger 1/1.56-inch sensor, while the 32-megapixel f/2.5 selfie camera remained unchanged.

The phone is available in several elegant colors: Auspicious Cloud, Light Green, Soft Powder, and Titanium Black. It comes in four versions of memory and capacity:
