Vivo Officially Launches The S50 And S50 Pro Mini With Powerful Processors And A Huge Battery



As expected, Vivo officially announced the Vivo S50 and Vivo S50 Pro mini phones in China, forming the latest additions to the mid-range brand. The two phones come with an updated design compared to the previous generation, in addition to noticeable improvements in performance and specifications.

Vivo introduces the S50 and S50 Pro mini phones

The vivo S50 phone gets a slightly smaller screen measuring 6.59 inches compared to its predecessor, and it is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, which offers a clear jump in performance compared to the SD 7 Gen 4 processor used in the S30 series. As for the S50 Pro mini phone, it maintains its compact size with a 6.31-inch screen, and comes with a processor. Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 All-new, giving the phone additional power compared to the previous Pro mini version equipped with the Dimensity 9300+ processor.

Both phones offer AMOLED screens with FHD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate, with a 50-megapixel front camera, and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor integrated under the screen. The two phones also have high protection standards against water and dust, with a rating of IP68 and IP69.

Both the vivo S50 and S50 Pro mini include a large 6,500 mAh battery with silicon-carbon technology, with support for 90-watt fast charging, while the Pro mini version gets the additional feature of supporting 40-watt wireless charging.

In terms of photography, the two phones share a triple rear camera system that includes a 50-megapixel main camera with an IMX921 sensor, a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with an IMX882 sensor with 3 times optical zoom, along with an 8-megapixel wide camera. The two phones work with an interface OriginOS 6 Built on Android 16 straight out of the box.

The vivo S50 is available in white, blue, purple and black, and its price starts at 2,999 Chinese yuan ($425) for the 12/256 GB version, and reaches 3,599 yuan ($510) for the 16/512 GB version.

As for the vivo S50 Pro mini, it comes in white, purple and black, and its price starts at 3,699 yuan ($524) for the 12/256 GB version, while the price of the higher version reaches 4,299 yuan ($609) for the 16/512 GB version.
