Iranian-Iraqi Cooperation In Developing Science And Technology

A memorandum of understanding was signed between the University Jihad, Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University Iraq and Khawaja Nasir al-Din al-Tusi University of Technology with the aim of developing scientific, research, technological and innovative cooperation between Iran And Iraq.

This memorandum of understanding was also signed between Dr. Ali Montazeri, President of the University Jihad, Dr. Hassan Latif Kazem, President of the Iraqi Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, and Dr. Hamid Reza Taqi Rad, President of Al-Khawaja Nasir al-Din al-Tusi Technological University, with the aim of strengthening and expanding cooperation in the fields of the sciences AndTechnology and innovation systems.

At this ceremony, Dr. Montazeri expressed his pleasure at the presence of the Iraqi delegation in Iran, and said:

Speaking about the history of this institution, Dr. Montazeri said:

“The University Jihad is a scientific and cultural institution, and it is a blessed product of the Cultural Revolution in Iran, which was founded by student activists in this movement in 1980. Today, 44 years later, we are proud that that small sapling has turned into a solid tree.

Extensive activity throughout the country

Speaking about the scope of the University Jihad’s activity, Dr. Montazeri pointed out: “About seven thousand researchers, technicians, and experts are currently working in this institution throughout the country. The University Jihad carries out research, educational, and cultural tasks and provides its services, in all governorates of the country, in accordance with its statute.”

Expanding international interactions

Montazeri stressed the importance of international scientific communication, saying:

Dr. Montazeri responded in another aspect of the ceremony, prepared by the President Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University To establish a joint scientific and technological park with university jihad, saying:

“The basic condition for establishing scientific and technological parks is the launch of growth centers, and university efforts have successful experiences in this field.”

He confirmed, saying:

“The university jihad is ready to develop scientific and technological cooperation with universities and scientific centers in Iraq with all their capabilities.”

As confirmed by Dr. Hassan Latif Kazim, President Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University In Iraq, during this ceremony, the importance of benefiting from the experiences of university jihad in establishing the scientific and technological park was emphasized.
